Missionaries of Maria Teresa of Jesus Gerhardinger

The Missionaries of Maria Teresa of Jesus Gerhardinger are people inspired by the charism and spirituality of the Congregation of the School Sisters of Notre Dame. The Missionaries seek to be signs of openness and listening to God's promptings in history, as well as to the principles of faith and life of Maria Teresa of Jesus Gerhardinger and her transformative practice. They are groups made up of families, men, women, young people and children who feel called by baptism to reveal God's love through their own being and through service to others, and who want to live the spirituality of our foundress Maria Teresa de Jesus Gerhardinger, in order to achieve a mission together.

The bond between the missionaries and the congregation exists only in the Latin America and Caribbean province, especially Brazil. Families participate with their children, making this also an evangelizing space for different ages. In the mission, they live Mother Teresa's charism, spreading her faith and her legacy of unity and peace.

The Missionaries of Mother Teresa are also called to take part in vocation promotion. A leading role that influences the thinking and actions of young people who want to know more about the life and mission of Jesus Christ. In this way, the missionaries act as promoters of evangelization and as builders of the Kingdom of God.

Being a Missionary means participating on a voluntary basis in monthly or annual meetings, studying topics about the life and mission of Maria Teresa of Jesus Gerhardinger. The Missionaries are coordinated by a contact sister in the local community, while the Junior Missionaries receive guidance appropriate to their age. They are integrated into the communion of the church, committing themselves to the mission and shared values of the Congregation.
